Fun architectural lines, arches, coves, peaks, new paint, and a new roof- all fabulous things and we haven't even gone inside yet. A gorgeous camelia bush, established rhodies, and a Japanese maple grace the front yard. The covered front porch keeps your guests, your mail, and your stunning front door dry and out of the elements.
It's just a pretty house. I love all the detailing. Entering the living room, we have all the fun details one expects from a 1928 home- mahogany wood wrapped windows, door, base mold and picture rail, plus the iconic fireplace (now converted to gas) and don't forget the cute arches. Not a fan of carpeting? Fantastic- original hardwoods, in great shape, underneath- rip out the carpet and take this beauty back to her original glory. Living room to dining room view- everything is in such good condition with all the charm intact.
The dining room is adjacent to the living room. It is substantially sized- full sized dining tables, a side board and hutch, and lots of guests have no problem all fitting in here and the generous picture window floods the area with natural light. Off of the dining room, through a beautiful swinging door is the updated kitchen. You'll notice that one can enter, and exit, the kitchen from multiple areas- the circular floor plan is perfect for entertaining and day to day life.
There is room for multiple cooks in this kitchen- the cooking and prep areas are plentiful and the storage is ample. Looking back toward the dining room, one notices the durable bamboo flooring. So many cupboards and gleaming granite make kitchen life efficient. The custom cabinets are reminiscent of the original era of the home. Now let's head through yet another set of arches into the mud room/flex room/laundry area.
This are is large- current owner had laundry brought up from the basement which makes this home completely one level livable for now and the future. Need another room for whatever your heart desires? Move laundry back downstairs and you have an office or hobby room or great room area off of kitchen. Sliding French doors lead to the back deck and yard- again, super easy entertaining, dining al fresca, or cleaning off in mudroom after playing outside. Back inside, we have the first of four bedrooms. Hardwoods under carpeting. A full bath is located on the main floor. The generous size would allow for a fresh take on this room- a double vanity? Sure, why not? Walk in closet and a tub? Probably... Blank canvas ready for use today or put your personal mark on the design and redo. Choices.
The second main floor bedroom is good sized and looks out onto the beautiful back yard. Upstairs, the bedrooms are huge and here we get to see the gleaming hardwoods. A 3/4 bath on the second floor means no going downstairs in the middle of the night and allows for multiple people to get ready at once.
The 4th bedroom (the second upstairs) is huge! Turn it into a fabulous primary suite by adding a bath, use it as a rec room, or keep as is. Down in the basement, we can see some of the sturdy construction of days gone by. Want even more living space? The headroom down here is high- finish this area and even giants will feel at home. A newer furnace provides for warmth cozy days and nights.
Want to park a million cars? Well, that would be a stretch, but one could easily pull in a couple of cars. And even with the garage space, there is still soooo much room for storage or finish the area. Back on the main level we are graced with a large deck off of the mudroom and kitchen area. Love to dine outside? Me, too, and this deck has plenty of space for your grill, seating, and guests. What a nice spot to enjoy an evening beverage or a morning cup of java.
The large expanse of grass will have you wanting to turn cartwheels, do somersaults, play croquet or badminton, OR? Just enjoy the lush greenery. Scads of parking available- on street, off street, and in the garage. This home has been so well maintained.
Looking back toward the alley we have a double gated entry. More mature landscaping, sure you can add some flowers and a few favorites to pop your own personality, but the bones are so good. /NWM2357335/NWM2357335-29.jpg

Off of the alley you have, you guessed it, even more parking. Boats, R.V.s, cars, bikes, and more- there is room for it all. You can tell a lot about an area, and your neighbors, by the state of an alley, and this one is as clean as they come. Welcome.
